Why I Photograph: Colour, Story, and Ambition

Photography has always been more than a profession for me—it's a profound exploration of humanity and culture. With a career spanning 25 years as a cinematographer, I've seamlessly transitioned into the realm of fine art photography, capturing stories across diverse landscapes and cultures in over 90 countries.

My images are celebrated for their ability to capture the essence of a moment in ways that transcend traditional still imagery. Through intentional movement, I breathe life into my compositions, elevating the static medium into one that evokes emotional responses and resonates on a visceral level.

Growing up between London and Rome, deeply influenced by my Italian roots and a large extended family, I developed a deep sense of resilience, justice, and identity. These themes form the foundation of my creative work.

I aim to create images that evoke emotion and transcend traditional still imagery. Through intentional movement, textured compositions, and painterly tones, I strive to craft a visual puzzle that asks viewers to interpret what they see, challenging their perceptions.

My ambition is to have my work seen in high-end galleries and to be bought and showcased in homes, hotels, and offices.I want my art to resonate deeply, challenge perceptions, and inspire reflection. Whether through my limited-edition prints from the collection Motion and Emotion or my evocative portraits, my art is a bridge between worlds—a dialogue about identity, heritage, and the universal human experience.

I invite you to explore my collections, delve into the stories behind each image, and perhaps find a piece that speaks to you. Together, let's celebrate the beauty of our shared human experience through the lens of fine art photography.
