NEW GROUND CAFE 

A curated selection of six photographs from Adam Docker’s Motion & Emotion project is now on display at NewGround Cafe, a contemporary London-style café situated in the heart of Newhall, on the outskirts of Harlow.

The exhibition marks the beginning of NewGround’s commitment to showcasing local creative talent, transforming its walls into a living gallery space. These six works launch that initiative, bringing cinematic storytelling, movement and emotional intensity into an everyday social setting.

Drawn from travels across more than 90 countries, the images blend painterly colour with movement and intuitive portraiture. They invite the viewer to pause, to feel, and to look twice while sipping a delicious coffee.

For Adam, whose practice balances high-end cinematography with fine-art still imagery, exhibiting in a community space like NewGround represents a meaningful shift. It brings global stories into a local setting, aligning with his belief that powerful images should not feel distant or inaccessible, but present and lived alongside us.
