“ Driving in the beautiful Lesotho landscape and I came across a group of girls dressed in strange tribal clothes dancing by the side of the road. Immediately I stopped and walked over to take a closer look. The girls were being led by elders. This was a ritual called Lebollo La Basali and it’s part of a rite of passage into womanhood, deeply rooted in identity and belonging.”
