“The way I work is very reactive. Sometimes I see something from the corner of my eye, I have a split second where I will quickly lift my camera, power it on, aim from the hip and shoot and fingers crossed I hope I got something!
Subway Blues was one of those moments late-night at night on the New York subway. The man, dressed in a striking turquoise suit with a glowing yellow hat, appears as a spectral figure. I loved the blur of his form and the stark colours of his suit and hat against the subway backdrop giving the impression of someone caught between moments, emphasising the fleeting, transitory nature of city life.”
