“ As a cinematographer, I’ve had the privilege of travelling the world and capturing extraordinary stories. In early summer of 2022, I spent a couple of months filming a documentary following US rapper Megan Thee Stallion. During one of her festival performances in Portugal, our crew wandered through the crowd searching for vibrant faces and energy that would light up the frame. That’s when we met Alysha. She moved with such power and joy that I instinctively handed my filming camera to my assistant, grabbed my stills camera, and began shooting.
